Ver. i0.6 Changelog
------------ Change Log Ver i0.6: ------------
Versions will now be labeled following a more traditional practice. This change log compiles all changes since the version released on 3-18-23.
[Bugfixes]
- Fixed a bug where mike would sometimes not allow the player to sell him fish
- Fixed an issue where audio from a certain event would not stop playing
- Fixed several issues with textures clipping through each-other
- Fixed a bug where the tension color gradient of the tension indicator was reversed
- Fixed a bunch of grammatical issues and placeholder dialogue
- Reduced requirements for certain events to occur
- Fixed an issue where certain objects in the lake would block the lure from sinking
- Fixed several bugs with deselecting fish in the inventory
- Fixed a bug where fish would sometimes rotate when placed in an invalid location
- Fixed several missing colliders
- If the game was exited without saving it will attempt to make a save
- Fixed a bug with a certain fish swimming backwards
- Fixed a bug with a few fish biting the lure with the middle of their bodies
- Fixed a bug with the player sometimes getting soft-locked when exiting dialogue
- Fixed a bug where floating points in dialogue would not be parsed correctly across regions
[Additions]
- Replaced several placeholder buildings in town with updated designs
- Added the "Comet" lure - Added several missing inventory sprites for fish
- Several more fish now spawn naturally in the lake
- Added an option to toggle where the fish is selected from in the inventory
- Added missing fish catch messages
- Added new dialogue for Mike as time progresses
- Implemented the mesh, textures, and animations for the "fisherman event"
- Added a story difficulty with easier fish catching for experiencing the story
- Added new types of wildlife to the lake
- Added a cut-scene to the introduction sequence
- Added particle fog around the lake
- Added an event to show the player the tutorial
- Added a few extra tips to the tutorial
[Changes]
- Greatly improved the interior of Mikes shop
- Made the audio logs appear earlier and attached a light to them to increase visibility
- Improved behavior of Motherfish
- Tweaked the grid sizes, and fighting values of several fish
- Polished content through lure 4
- Pushed back the early access ending to past lure 4
- Changed the default selection point of a fish to the top left corner
- Replaced a bunch of placeholder sprites and textures
- Improved the tutorial adding information about "holding the line"
- Made the tutorial text take into account the players current control bindings
- Changed skipping cut-scenes from double tapping to holding the button
- Added a new way to sell corrupt fish
- Added a new indicators to help the player
- Added a new model and texture for the camper
- Added detection for input device switching
- Started updating UIs to prepare for eventual controller support (still a WIP)
- Added more explicit selection indicators to menus
- Fixed an issue where the skip option would appear in scenes where it was not intended
[Optimizations]
- Many resources stay loaded improving load times between levels
